Visited here while in the area staying down the street at the Inn by the Sea since this sits along the main road near Portland light and Fort William in a small IGA shopping plaza. This place may not look like much but their menu is loaded with not only pizza but Italian dishes and plenty of seafood selections. I just ordered a large Italian Sub and a small cheese pizza and it was pretty decent. Price was $15 bucks for the total and the staff was friendly. You can even eat in the place if you want as it is larger than it looks. Highly recommend.

Is it outstanding? My experience exceeded expectations. The man at the counter was cheerful and accommodating while we selected our meals. Several takeout orders came and went while we did so. Once we ordered (take out, a small Hawaiian and a moon doggy), he told us it would be about 15 minutes, which was accurate. I asked if they could throw in a side of hot sauce. They did. Overall, it was great. I'm writing this in part because I reject the rancor and vitriol of some of these other reviews. They did fine tonight.

Ocean House of Pizza is a decent choice if you're a local in a dinner bind (like when you're spending your evening troubleshooting your home thermostat / heating system). In my experience, picking up your own food is WAY faster than delivery (and no charge). Unfortunately, this place doesn't give me that neighborhood feeling that I get when I visit other HOPs in the area like Saco or Portland, and the food is barely comparable. I would voluntarily visit Saco HOP or PHOP for lunch or dinner, but Ocean House is just a "we don't want McDonald's but we're in a pinch" place. Judging by the disorganized counter and the dark interior (seriously, why is it so dark in here?), I wonder about how many corners are cut in their operations... There are handwritten signs all over the place, including "no refills on soda". How cheap can you get? I know for a fact that a fountain drink is less than 15 cents cost.

I want to second Pete K's remarks in his review. We ordered delivery last night and the pizza was good old fashioned neighborhood pizza! No issues what so ever. Even ate the crust which is my own personal way to gage good pizza.:) However I have unfortunately learned that in Maine a place can be great on a Saturday but completely different and horrible during the week. Perhaps the bad reviewers fell prey to this phenomenon. But we were happy and leftovers were eaten cold for breakfast this morning so that's also a great gage lol.

What a piece of crap this place has become. I've been going here for years - it's very close to where my mom lives. Several years ago, it used to be pretty good. But the last few years it's been a long slide downhill. Over the past couple of years, I've noticed the food getting less and less good - the pizza losing any semblance of flavor or soul, the sandwiches getting more and more mediocre. The last straw was my most recent visit - my sandwich was actually foul. The vegetables were rancid and I threw it away. So, sadly, what I'm trying to say is: RIP Ocean House Pizza. It was nice knowing you.

I stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon for a quick bite on the way to Portland and in between seeing lighthouses. The menu is wide and varied and they have what looks like a good deal of 2 slices and a soda for $3.99, but the only options are plain and pepperoni and the slices are very small. The pizza itself was very meh, without the addition of the franks red hot I don't know that I would have been able to distinguish it from frozen pizza. They do have a lot of options on the menu so I'm sure some of them are good, but I won't be coming back to find out.

Gross, gross, gross. Dirty. Soggy pizza. If you go inside make sure you wear a hazmat suit. Yuck. Not sure how they pass inspection.

Good selection, speedy service and decent prices. When you're in the mood for pizza (or wings) this place hits the spot!
